Ashley and Alex’s wedding was one beautiful light-filled love fest! These two are from Pennsylvania, but they planned a beautiful wine country destination wedding in the Finger Lakes. Ashley (ever the gracious hostess, from what I’m told), set up a Facebook group for guests in the months leading up to the wedding, with details about the event and a steady stream of info on the wine trails and scenic drives that are around just about every corner up here. I’ve got to say, though – even if the guests never once stepped off of the Inn on the Lake’s grounds, they’d still be in for a treat. This was one lovely day for a lovely, lovely couple!
Ashley and Alex’s wedding was filled with the little details that make my photographer’s heart (and my hopeless romantic’s heart) happy. I almost always get a little teary-eyed at the weddings I shoot, but every once in a while, I shoot a wedding that gets me again as I’m editing through the photos, and this was one of those. As you scroll through these photos, keep an eye out for the special locket that Ashley kept wrapped around her bouquet – it holds a few photos of Ashley’s late father. She wanted to carry a memory of her father with her so that he could walk her down the aisle, but with this locket, you’ll see that her father was with her from start to finish – as she got her hair and makeup done, as she walked down the aisle to the love of her life, as she laughed on the lakeshore with her friends, and as Ashley and Alex gathered everyone they love around them for a celebration of love and happiness.
