Welcome! I'm Emi, photographer and creative director at Emi Rose Studio. Gardener, wife, and mama to two small wildlings.
I photograph weddings and portrait sessions throughout New York and New England, and come home to the rolling hills and crystalline lakes of upstate New York to rest and roost. For me, photography is an exercise in being present - finding and documenting beauty in forms large and small, cherishing the relationships that bring meaning to our busy lives, and capturing each fleeting moment in a way that is honest, true, and beautiful. I take my job as my family's historian very seriously, and Emi Rose Studio is my way of offering the same to you. I believe that good photographs of our loved ones and our most important moments will forever say "you are here, you are loved, you are home."
Over the past 8 years, I've had the joy of documenting iconic events and intimate moments, and the honor of seeing my work featured by international brands and publications as well as on the walls of clients across the country. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me in the sunshine, growing everything from peonies to pears in our gardens, entertaining our two boys with silly songs, or floating on the beautiful Finger Lakes that we're lucky enough to call home.

Based just outside of Rochester, New York in the beautiful Finger Lakes region, my family splits our time between upstate New York and the rocky coasts of Maine (where my husband's family lives). WHAT IS YOUR PRICING?
Yes! I am a true "hybrid" photographer, meaning that I will use both film and digital photography for your session. Using both allows me to choose whichever medium best suits the lighting and scenario.
Your wedding is too meaningful for "one size fits all" package pricing. You have your unique vision, plan, and priorities, and it's my job to bring that to life. Quotes are customized so that we don't leave out anything important to you, nor charge you for anything you don't need. As a point of reference, Signature Coverage begins at $4200; to create a custom quote for your event, please reach out! Family, maternity, and newborn portrait sessions begin at $350 - please see the Families page for more details.
WHAT IS THE WAIT TIME FOR OUR PHOTOS?
After your wedding, your full image gallery will be ready within 6 weeks, delivered via your own Online Gallery & Fine Art Print Shop. For portrait sessions, your images will be ready in 2-3 weeks. Regardless, you will also receive some "sneak peeks" within 48 hours of your shoot - I know it's hard to wait to relive and share some highlights!
HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU TAKE PER YEAR?
I take only 15-20 weddings per year, which allows me to give each couple that I'm working with the best, most creative, and most personal experience possible.
WILL WE RECEIVE DIGITAL FILES?
Yes, all wedding and session collections include access to all of your high-resolution digital files. I also strongly believe in the power of the tangible, and that your memories will always look better on your wall than on your hard drive. I love to work with you on the creation of heirloom prints and albums, but this is 2021! I know that a digital record of your family's legacy is also important.
We're NOT USED TO BEING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. CAN YOU HELP?
Absolutely! One of the most common pieces of feedback I receive is how surprised clients are about how relaxed and enjoyable their photography experience was. (Read the testimonials on this subject!) We’ll create a comfortable atmosphere focused on natural posing and real interactions, so that you look and feel great in your photos.
