Melanie and Max’s wedding was a lovely event that combined classic and modern in a perfect blend. Melanie and Max’s wedding ceremony was held at the historic and elegant church ruins at St. Joseph’s Park, an outdoor ceremony space in which the urban and natural co-exist in a beautiful balance. After, Melanie and Max and their wedding guests headed back to The Arbor Loft, Rochester’s favorite downtown loft venue, to celebrate in a colorful, vibrant, and modern reception!
The combination of classic and modern, along with all of the personal details included in the design of their day, created a perfectly unique event that really celebrated Melanie and Max’s relationship, and their hometown.

The day began with hair, makeup, and pre-wedding celebration in the bridal suite at The Arbor Loft, sun-filled rooms that are perfect for getting ready and enjoying that wedding morning excitement! There was laughter, beautiful details, and some very cute flower girls.
Melanie and Max’s wedding ceremony was held a few blocks from the Arbor Loft at St. Joseph’s Park, an incredible outdoor wedding venue where they were married in the ruins of a stone church. I’m always amazed that this venue, which is full of old-world charm and historic grandeur, exists right in the heart of downtown Rochester, New York! The couple made their wedding ceremony their own with a custom program, special wedding vows, and a lovely ceremony in which they watered a potted fiddle leaf fig to symbolize the care they’ll put into their marriage and growing together. It was a beautiful ceremony, filled with love, light, and a few tears!
After Melanie and Max’s ceremony, the group headed a few blocks away to The Arbor Loft, an airy event space and wedding venue in the heart of downtown Rochester. The area around The Arbor Loft is full of art and culture, including some beautiful and vibrant street art that provided a perfect backdrop for photos!
The Arbor Loft was outfitted with lush floral arrangements by I Do Wedding Flowers. I especially loved the high floral centerpiece stands which held the huge and beautiful arrangements, but which allowed open space at eye level for guests to see each other and converse! What a clever and beautiful centerpiece idea.
