Abbey and Rob’s Genesee Valley Club wedding was a joy to photograph. The space at the Genesee Valley Club is perfect for a classic and elegant wedding. Abbey and Rob made it their own by leaning into the fall season with warm details and seasonal florals designed by Erie Way.
The Genesee Valley Club is an exclusive private club in downtown Rochester, New York, and is one of the city’s most elegant venues. It’s beautiful historic brick building and green lawns sit amid the bustling East Ave district. It feels like a quiet retreat and the perfect place for an intimate wedding.
Abbey started the day in the bright and airy bridal rooms where her mom, sister, and best friend helped her into a gorgeous long-train wedding gown from Rochester’s Silk Bridal Boutique. The club’s grand staircase is stunning, and the perfect setting for a bridesmaids’ reveal and father’s first look! The wedding ceremony was held on the lawn behind the club’s terrace. Guests gathered for an intimate ceremony followed by an open-air cocktail hour, dances, and a floral-laden cake created by The Genesee Valley Club’s in-house pastry chef.
Dinner was held in one of the club’s elegant dining rooms. A long table was covered with candles, greenery, and florals in deep fall colors. The menu cards were designed by the bride’s sister and featured a gorgeous custom crest.
As dusk fell, we headed outside again for a few more portraits with the wedding party and on the steps outside the club’s front entrance.
